the 2011 shrine gallery of hope has closed for this year.

thank you to everyone. we are thrilled to have come together, joined hands and hearts to create a roof of protection over the children of Oaxaca!

the winning bids show as the last bid to arrive before the auction was officially closed.

winners will be receiving a congratulations email and information for payment and shipment of their treasures.  

payments and donations for this years shrine project are gratefully accepted at the soroptimist international central sunrise. as soon as your payment is received the artist will be given your mailing address and honor your generosity with theirs!

Rebecca's Cameo Shrine Version 2.rs 

old silver embossed tray, metal formed rose, found button,

hand made reliquary fashioned of heavy paper and soldered,  with removable soldered and embellished glass lid,

holding an authentic vintage virgin mary cameo,

in an ornate filigree armature.

the cameo rests on a hand sewn black velvet pillow,

and may easily be removed to wear as a brooch or necklace.

tray measures 8" by 4"

complete with a metal hanger on the back

and finished with a vintage drop silk spun pearl with

unending love for mary and all her children.

This is yet another piece that looks like a treasure from the past with a mysterious history behind it. One I would come upon in a museum or, unexpectedly, in a private home, that would catch me by surprise~it's breathtaking Rebecca!! Gorgeous intricate details, materials and sophisticated use of colors~wow
